Getting Started
Setting up OnCallClerk takes about 5–10 minutes. By the end you'll have an AI agent answering a real phone number, ready to greet callers, capture leads, and book appointments.
What you'll need
Have your business name and description ready, the agent uses these to answer questions naturally. If you plan to connect integrations, have your Google account handy. You'll also want a forwarding number (your cell or office line) so the agent can transfer urgent calls to a human.

Common questions
Do I need a new phone number?
No. You can purchase a number through OnCallClerk, or forward your existing business number to the OnCallClerk number so callers still dial the same number they already know.
Can I test before going live?
Yes, just call your agent's number after setup. Test different types of questions, try booking an appointment, and confirm the forwarding works. Nothing is publicly listed until you share the number yourself.
